You Ask , We answer
Q.Why are they called "Waghya" Peanuts?
A: "Waghya" means Tiger in Marathi. They are named so because of the unique, natural red-and-white stripes on their skin that look like tiger markings.
Q.Are these peanuts genetically modified to get the stripes?
A: No. This is a 100% natural, indigenous heirloom variety. The stripes are a gift from nature, not a result of lab work.
Q.How do they taste compared to regular peanuts?
A: They are much creamier and have a unique sweet-and-salty buttery flavor, especially after roasting.
Q.Do you use any preservatives to keep them fresh?
A: Never. At Past In Present Agro, our USP is No Preservatives and No Chemicals. These are as raw and natural as they get.
Q.Why is this variety so hard to find?
A: Because they are grown in very limited quantities by traditional farmers. They don't fit into "mass production" models, which makes them a rare delicacy
Q.What is the best way to roast them?
A: We recommend roasting them on a slow flame in a heavy-bottomed pan. Using rock salt as a roasting medium helps distribute heat evenly and enhances the taste.
Q.Is it safe for children?
A: Yes, it is a wholesome, nutrient-dense snack. However, as with all nuts, please ensure children are supervised while eating to prevent choking.
Q.Where are these peanuts sourced from?
A: We source them directly from small-scale farmers who specialize in native crops, supporting the agricultural heritage of the Maharashtra region
Q.Can I use these to make peanut butter?
A: Absolutely! Because of their high oil content and buttery flavor, they make an exceptionally tasty and unique peanut butter.
