Know Your Maker
Family recipes, kitchen experience and patient preparation shape the flavour of this festive faral.
Behind it is Asha Jadhav Tai of Asha Foods in Satara.
Known for handcrafted Maharashtrian pickles, slow-roasted Goda and Kala masalas, and Metkut, Asha Tai learned her family recipes from her mother-in-law.
Her rural kitchen provides steady employment to over 15 to 20 local women in Satara. Together, they clean seeds, sift flour, knead dough and cut traditional diamond shapes.
A Special Faral Partnership for Diwali
After tasting Asha Tai's festive faral, we partnered with her to combine her traditional technique with our pantry ingredients.

-
Desi buffalo ghee, cardamom, khaskhas and Saindhav rock salt.
