Our lemon chilli pickle is traditionally handcrafted by 50-year-old Asha Jadhav, a passionate lady based in Satara, who has devoted herself to preserving authentic Indian flavors. She also brings together many women in Satara, forming a community of artisans who carefully prepare this zesty delight with love and dedication.

Freshly picked lemons and tender green chillies are sliced and sun-cured to enhance their natural tang and spice. These are then blended with a balanced mix of aromatic spices — red chili powder, turmeric, coarsely ground mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel, coriander, and nigella seeds — along with a touch of asafoetida for that signature depth. Saindhav salt is added not only to harmonize the flavors but also to preserve the pickle naturally.

Finally, all the ingredients are immersed in nutrient-rich, wooden-pressed groundnut oil, allowing the flavors to mature slowly and beautifully over time. Prepared in small batches, this pickle embodies the spirit of traditional homemade craftsmanship and the collective strength of Satara’s women, bringing you a perfect blend of tang, heat, and heritage in every bite.
